West Mon RFC is delighted to announce that the captain for the 2017/18 season will be Robbie Baldock.

Robbie is well known in the locality having played age group rugby for New Panteg, where he obtained district honours, before graduating to senior rugby where he also played for Croesyceiliog.

He has made a huge impression since joining West Mon three seasons ago receiving the club's Most Promising Back award in his first year and followed that last season with the Players Player of the Year..

Robbie, who is a  centre by trade but equally comfortable in the outside half position, has already had plenty of experience of leading the team having taken over the role last season from the injured Gavin Wheatstone
