New Chairman appointed at AGM

A remarkably successful AGM held via the Zoom video conference app saw several changes to the make up of the club's 20/21 committee.

There is a new Chairman in the form of IT guru Geoff Lewis who replaces Rob Young who was not standing re re-election after three successful years in the role.

Geoff, who is better known as the club's sponge person, has been involved with West Mon for over 30 years and will no doubt use all that experience to mold the direction of the club post covid-19.

Other significant changes see Paul Chapman return from self imposed tax exile as Vice Chairman whilst the purse strings will be controlled by Gavin Trollope who takes over from Malcolm Silver, the latter intending to spend more time overseas (if he can find a dog sitter) .

The meeting was also informed that Bernard Humphries was retiring from the Fixture Secretary role, a position he has held continuously since the 1991/92 season when it was just 4 points for a try .  Happy retirement Berny
