1. Welcome message from the Club Chairman

Welcome to West Mon Rugby Football Club. This pack is designed to provide you with an introduction to the club and a reference guide to our policies, your responsibility, essential information, code of conduct and standards of practice.

If abbreviated, documents in this guide can be found in full on the club website at www.westmonrfc.mywru.co.uk

We are a relaxed and family orientated rugby club based at the PILCS Club which is located between the villages of New Inn and Griffithstown in Pontypool.

Although we take training and games seriously, we also like to have plenty of fun as well as the odd beer.

Our clubhouse is friendly and welcoming to all as well as always showing the big rugby matches on the TV screen.

We run two senior sides, a 1st XV that plays in the National League 3 East C and a Development team known as the West Mon Lions.

The teams train** every Tuesday and Thursday, 7pm at PILCS on our floodlight training area.

In addition we have a ladies touch rugby team side called the Amazons that train** every Monday and Wednesday 6.15 - 7.30pm at PILCS.

We have also starteda mini section known as West Mon Little Lions which is seen as crucial to the sustainability of the club.

Everyone is welcome to get involved whether in a playing or a voluntary basis.  We have some members that have been playing for 30 years whilst others are total novices to the game. Don't think you’re too unfit, too old, too young, or worry that you’ve never played, all you need is a pair of boots and the ability to have a laugh.

**Please note training times and venues for the above teams may vary at certain periods during the winter months.

Chairman: Rob Young
